09 Aug 2018 XII Snacks Fair: A journey through the knowledge and tastes of Ponte de Lima

Intense flavours and spicy aromas are the trademark of Portugal's oldest village which does not neglect its label when it will host the XII Fair of Snacks, from 10 to 12 August, at the Fairs and Exhibitions Pavilion in Ponte de Lima.

The spicy palate of the Sarrabulho Rice, the Lamprey Rice, and the Caramelized Onion Cod are just some of the "reasons" that make many prefer the local gastronomy as one of the biggest Gastronomic Poles of Portugal.

Increasingly sought after by visitors from all over the country and neighbouring Galicia, Feira dos Petiscos occupies a gastronomic place of reference at a regional and national level, proving that the Municipal investment in food, culture and tradition brings results.

This event is organized in partnership by the Municipality of Ponte de Lima and the Folklore Association of Ponte de Lima, where the way of welcoming of the local people and the generosity of the servings, to the sound of typical concertinas and regional dancing are guaranteed to make the stranger return to the village where he feels at home.

The competition, which lasts for three days, is scheduled to open at 8:00 pm on August 10.
