The Ponte de Lima's municipality and the Portuguese Equestrian Federation have gathered, in order to, analyze the equestrian activity in the country, as a potential focus for tourism in Portugal, considering the sector as one of the factors of attractiveness of the territory and as a generator of dynamism in the town's economy.

The Portuguese Equestrian Federation's president, Bruno Rente, was received by the Ponte de Lima's City Hall Vice-president, Paulo Sousa, and Filipe Pimenta, CEO of the Equestrian Fair in Ponte de Lima.

At this meeting, the development of equestrian activity and equestrian tourist sector in Portugal were analyzed, and a partnership was created, in order to help this tourist sector grow, where Ponte de Lima is seen as a great national example.

Those involved were willing to implement new infrastructures, which will consolidate Ponte de Lima as internationally recognized equestrian destination, maximizing an increase in the development of local economy.

For Ponte de Lima and the Portuguese Equestrian Federation, this meeting revealed itself as profitable, showing that both sides are committed to the dynamization and promotion of the equestrian sector, recognizing its potential to attract more people to Ponte de Lima and the rest of the country.
