"Ponte de Lima International Equestrian Destination", did justice to the name, when hosting this last Sunday, a new Championship.

Organized by the Professional School of Agriculture and Rural Development, and by the Municipality of Ponte de Lima, the Regional Dressage Championship took advantage of its local scale to enhance training and acquire know-how form new athletes and competitors in the region. This strategy allows them to start later on larger scale events, which Ponte de Lima is recognized for hosting.

In a competitive and knowledge-sharing context, the event attracted several dozen riders from all over the country, as well as curious and amateurs of the sport, who created a considerable human frame in the Expolima enclosure.

Betting heavily on the equestrian sector, the organization rejoices at the success of the initiative which, praised by all, is expected to be arepeat in the next competitive season in the North.

Until then, Ponte de Lima will host the II Equestrian Games, which run from August 15 to 18, in search of another successful brand.
