From August 15 to 18, hundreds of visitors travelled to Ponte de Lima, for the "II Equestrian Games" and for the "Loureiro de Ponte de Lima Welcomes You".

As both the Equestrian and Wine Capital, Ponte de Lima counted on these two events taking place in parallel, in the same space, to show what the best and oldest village of Portugal projects the country to the world.

The dynamics of equestrian sport were the first to shake the village, and given the good results that the county obtained in the sector, the organization considered that the next challenge is to maintain the high level, in view of the "great success "of the 2nd edition of the event.

The unprecedented levels of affluence, of both athletes and visitors, surpassed those of last year, whose human frame was already surprising.

At the same time and betting on an "informal and relaxed" format, the Expolima venue hosted from the afternoon of August 17 the "Loureiro de Ponte de Lima Welcomes You". Wine, jazz, Fado and commented evidence created the ideal environment for more than two dozen producers to present more than a hundred wines from regions that extend from the region of the Vinho Verde and the sub-region of Lima to the Alentejo, passing through Porto and Douro, Trás-os-Montes and much more.

The connection between two products of excellence in the rural world has resulted in a full weekend, which, to be held in the future, must be on any visitor’s itinerary.
