Description
The interpretation centre for the area is a museum that is not confined to the building itself,
thus inviting the visitor to discover the local area and experience the daily life of the inhabitants of the Lima valley, in its purest rural state. It is the doorway to get to know ancient farming practices, unique traditions and particular testimonies. Subjects such as farming; bread baking; and production of wine, linen and livestock have been collected for over a year from throughout the entire Lima area. This interpretation centre, located in the former farming annexes of the Casa do Arnado, has started an inventory of the heritage of Ponte de Lima County. Due to the vastness and variety of the cultural heritage in the area, this inventory is not yet concluded.
