The Ponte de Lima Horse Fair was set up with the aim of providing more in the way of equestrian events in the region, thus creating a leading commercial, cultural and sports hub in the north of the country.

As an event which has earned national and international recognition, the Horse Fair affords opportunities to watch numerous competitions, such as the official competitions which provide ranking points for national championships and international rankings.

Awarded by the Tourism Board of Portugal, this initiative has transformed Ponte de Lima into a sports, cultural, and tourism hub, securing a leading position in terms of large equestrian events.
