The Portuguese Way | Porto-Santiago

The Pilgrim knows that for the man, the Creator is not an anonymous and remote power. It is the Father. John Paul II

With Santiago one can learn to be ready to accept the call
of the Lord... Life is a journey towards which destination?
It is a continuous and watchful waiting. Benedict XVI

To peregrinate is an act of Faith. You must bear that in mind when you should decide to make the Way and request the Credencial.

Prepare your pilgrimage very carefully, for it to be reassuring without having to be necessarily comfortable.

In the Portuguese Jacobeo dense road network, the central axis is often called "Caminho Português de Santiago” and is, nowadays, signposted from Lisbon on with yellow arrows and well served with Pilgrim’s Hostels from Oporto. It is one of the most beautiful ways which lead to Santiago. On the opposite way, the Portuguese Way to Santiago is signposted with blue arrows, to help the Pilgrims arriving at Fátima.

You should have your Pilgrim Credencial, study the course and well plan your logistic. Should you have any problems, please trust us. Contact : "Associação dos Amigos do Caminho Português de Santiago”.
