Casa da Nossa Sr.ª d'Aurora
Rua do Arrabalde, n.º 90 4990-097 Ponte de Lima

The garden of the House of Our Lady of Aurora was designed when the house was built between 1731 and 1740. It is the traditional garden of boxwood beds, granite fountains and lake so in use at the time, with centuries-old camellias and Some remarkable trees, coming from the four corners of the world.

There are 30 camellias of different ages scattered throughout the garden, many of them centennial, plus 30 more aligned throughout the way that leads to the farm. Two araucarias rise abovw all the other trees of the garden, and in a corner in the background, lives a Criptoméria japonica elegans, that sometimes covers itself of green, sometimes of red ...

Among our trees there is also a "paper tree", whose bark appears to be made from a thousand sheets of tissue paper, and a young yellow Ipê, a tree native from Brazil that flourishes beautifully, without leaves, between March and April. Throughout the year, roses, dahlias, azaleas, camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons, maple, and other plants give life and color to the garden, as well as an endless number of birds, such as Chapim and others.
