The Municipality of Ponte de Lima, in collaboration with the Regional Tourism Authority of Porto and Northern Portugal, as well as the Gastronomic Rice Confraternity of Sarrabulho, promoted a FAM Trip to Ponte de Lima made up of a group of tour operators and Portuguese and Spanish journalists.

Presenting itself as the oldest village in Portugal and known for its magnificent and numerous manors, Ponte de Lima has excellent conditions to provide several quality tourist experiences to all who visit it.

The program includes a promotional event, scheduled for this Friday, at 3 pm, at Casa da Terra - Women's Chain, with the presentation of the merchandising of Ponte de Lima. It is, as the name implies, a presentation of the icons of Ponte de Lima, through a new graphic language. At the same ceremony the mobile application of the Pedestrian Paths of Ponte de Lima will be introduces, which allows for the enjoyment and discovery of the pedestrian trails that are located in the oldest village in Portugal.

On each course you can consult the technical file, where you can find information such as the level of difficulty, distance, duration and other useful information.

To easily start the routes, the application has two options, the first undertaken by calculating the person’s location in relation to the beginning of the route and the second by reading the QRCode that is recorded at the beginning of each trail.

In addition to checking the regulations and route signposting, and because safety is a very important point, it is possible to see a list of useful contacts in case of emergency or need for help.

At the end of the afternoon, at 6 pm, the group visits the Hunting, Fishing and Leisure Fair to be inaugurated by the Secretary of State of Local Authorities.
