The Village of Ponte de Lima is part of a group of 25 Portuguese cities chosen as the most beautiful in Portugal.

The election was carried out and published by the renowned Spanish newspaper El País, in its El Viajero section. The list integrates destinations from North to South of the country, as well as the islands.

El País assigned 15th place to Ponte de Lima, being presented as a national example of a balanced landscape integrated into a set of leisure infrastructures created to answer the various projects, events and initiatives that are part of a strategy based on three pillars of sustainable development of the territory: Heritage, Environment and Rurality.

To visit Ponte de Lima is to travel in time, from the beginnings of the human civilization to the projection of Ponte de Lima in a future perspective, thus being able to  have the pleasure of enjoying the diverse green spaces and an unequaled quality of life that has been preserved strategically throughout the years.

Monetizing the existing endogenous resources as factors of differentiation, excellence and quality, is a philosophy that guides the actions of the Municipality.
