International Gardens’ Festival of Ponte de Lima "Gardens of the End of the World" in 2019 Gardens and Parks
12 Sep 2018 International Gardens’ Festival of Ponte de Lima "Gardens of the End of the World" in 2019

As the result of a well-established agro-ecology policy, the Municipality of Ponte de Lima, from whence the project arose, is already launching a challenge for the participation in this year’s edition entitled "End of the World Gardens". The application must be submitted until November 15, 2018 and the regulation can be consulted at www.festivaldejardins.cm-pontedelima.pt/candidaturas-2019.

The present edition, under the theme "Climate in the Gardens" has in the last months aroused the interest of visitors, simultaneously promoting a reflection on the form of the installation and that has brought together visual elements from various parts of the world.

Gardens from Germany, Argentina, Austria, Spain, Holland, England, Italy and Portugal form an interactive representation that allows the visitor to wander among the scenic components that constitute them.

The "exhibition" that opens doors to new and innovative approaches to the message of environmental preservation, which extends to the arts sphere, completes another cycle in October, emphasizing these two closely related fundamental themes: distinction in the configuration of natural resources and cultural heritage, and to alert and prevent the risk of intensive exploitation of these sensitive resources.
